He also made a pointed remark to his daughter about not having the same family support, which many saw as a reference to Adam Peaty’s parents not being present.

Sources close to the Peaty family later responded strongly. One family source told The Sun, the situation was planned and said Peaty’s family had been pushed out. The source added that Peaty’s parents made huge sacrifices for his swimming career and deserved more respect. They also accused Peaty of ignoring the pain caused to his mother.

It later emerged that the swimmer had blocked messages from family members. His aunt reportedly sent him a message moments before the ceremony, but he never saw it. In the message, she expressed deep hurt and said his actions had caused lasting emotional pain to his mother.

Peaty spoke at the reception and acknowledged the difficult time he has been going through. He praised his swim coach Mel Marshall, describing her as a strong and guiding presence in his life. He also thanked the guests for standing by him during a challenging period.

Only Adam’s sister Beth attended from his side of the family. His parents and brothers stayed away. Meanwhile, the celebration included famous guests like David and Victoria Beckham. Holly wore two outfits at the reception, including her mother’s wedding dress from 1996.
