Terence Crawford did not ease into retirement. He stepped away while the spotlight was still on him, fresh off the biggest win of his career. His huge September win over Canelo Alvarez did more than add another title. It changed how people see him, not just in boxing but across sports. In the days after the fight, Crawford took a brief victory lap. Nothing flashy, nothing staged, but it said a lot. As he moved through Las Vegas, it was clear his moment had landed. Fans were still reacting to what they saw in the ring, while Crawford was already feeling the impact of that win in ways he likely did not expect.

One of those moments only came out later. After the fight, Crawford went back to Allegiant Stadium for a Raiders game against the Chargers. Tom Brady, a minority owner of the Raiders, was also there. What fans did not know then was that the two had already met a few days earlier. Crawford shared the moment in a video on his YouTube channel titled ‘Unseen Footage, second stop after beating Canelo.’ In the clip, he is returning to his hotel after a quick trip to Walmart when he unexpectedly runs into Brady in the parking garage. As Crawford walked up, Brady stepped out of his car and greeted him warmly.
“Congratulations. I sent you a text message. Did you get it?” Brady said. Crawford smiled and answered honestly, “I got a million text messages.” Brady brushed it off, saying, “I get it.”The exchange continued as the two posed for photos. Brady then made his love for him clear. “I am so happy for you, dude. Un-f*****g-believable,” he said in Crawford’s video. They shared another hug and went their separate ways.Brady had also hosted the pre-game G.O.A.T.S. podcast for the Canelo vs. Crawford fight alongside Dana White and Shaquille O’Neal, showing just how wide the fight’s reach had become. Since retiring, Crawford has also spoken openly about his career choices. When asked by streamer Adin Ross which weight class felt most comfortable, he said, “168. Definitely 168.”He also looked back at earlier weight cuts that took a toll on his body. “I was obviously smaller, but I was killing myself to make that weight,” he said. “It was the same way with 140.”Also read: Tom Brady may have moved forward, but Gisele Bündchen’s presence lives on as their daughter becomes her striking lookalike
