“I’ll be champion of world”- Ian Machado Garry sends strong warning to Islam Makhachev ahead of possible UFC title fight

Ian Machado Garry has made his intentions very clear. The Irish welterweight believes a title fight against Islam Makhachev is not only possible, but inevitable. Garry says that when he beats the Dagestani star, there should be no excuses from fans or experts. He feels a win over Makhachev would prove he is the best fighter in the world right now.

The UFC welterweight contender is riding strong momentum. Garry is ranked No.3 and is on a two-fight winning run. He recently defeated Belal Muhammad by unanimous decision at UFC Qatar last November. Before that, he won a five-round fight against Carlos Prates at UFC Kansas City. With a professional record of 17-1, Garry is confident he has earned his shot at the top.

In a recent Instagram video, Ian Machado Garry spoke openly about a possible title clash with Islam Makhachev later this year. He made it clear that he does not want to hear any reasons or explanations if he wins. Garry said that once he defeats Makhachev, people must accept that he beat the best pound-for-pound fighter in the sport. He believes that victory would place him at No.1 in the pound-for-pound rankings and make him the undisputed world champion.

Garry also pointed out that Makhachev is a big and strong fighter, but stressed that size should not be used as an excuse. He said fans often try to find reasons to protect their favorite fighters after a loss. According to Garry, that will not be acceptable this time. He believes the only truth will be that he was simply the better fighter on the night.

After his win over Belal Muhammad, Garry repeated his message during his post-fight interview. Speaking to Michael Bisping, he reminded everyone that he had just beaten the top-ranked welterweight in the division. He said there is no one above Belal except the champion, Islam Makhachev.

Garry confidently stated that Belal was unable to take him down and challenged Makhachev to try the same. He said he sees himself as the best welterweight in the world and believes the champion has a responsibility to face him. Garry promised to take the title, ending Makhachev’s winning run, and asked him to sign the contract for what he believes will be a defining fight in his career.
