Jutta Leerdam is facing heavy criticism online after a moment from a charity soccer event quickly turned into a bigger debate. The Dutch Olympic gold medalist was seen telling a fellow player to stop filming and focus on the game. But just hours later, she shared her own behind-the-scenes video from the same event. That contrast did not sit well with fans. Many called her out, saying her actions did not match her words. The situation picked up even more attention when her fiancé, Jake Paul, stepped in to defend her publicly.

The incident happened during the CELSIUS Soccer Classic, a charity match featuring athletes and influencers. While the event raised money for a good cause, the online reaction shifted focus to Leerdam’s comments and what followed after.

During the warmup, Leerdam was seen speaking to streamer Marlon Garcia, who was recording a vlog. She said, “Too much vlogging. Put the cameras away and focus on the ball.” The clip spread fast on social media, gaining millions of views.

Soon after, Jake Paul reacted on X, backing her. He wrote, “You just met someone who is a real person that doesn’t give a flying f*** about your stream. Play ball homie.”

However, things took a turn when Leerdam posted her own TikTok video from the same event. In that clip, she showed herself stretching before the game, traveling with teammates, and playing on the field. That is when fans started pointing out the contradiction.

One fan commented, “You said no cameras focus on the game.” Another added, “Yet she does the same thing.” A third wrote, “Why are you recording? Focus and lock in.” Some even questioned fairness, asking, “So you are also doing content on it but he can’t?”

Despite the online backlash, Leerdam performed well during the match. Her team won 5-1 against the opposing side. The event itself was a success, raising $15,000 for charity.

Leerdam and Jake Paul have been engaged since March 2025. He has supported her at major events, including her Olympic gold win earlier this year. At the same time, Paul is currently recovering after a loss to Anthony Joshua, where he suffered a broken jaw.
