As 2026 begins,
Novak Djokovic and his wife Jelena Djokovic gave fans a quiet but touching moment. Jelena welcomed the new year by sharing unseen photos from their private life. The pictures showed Novak, their children, and close family moments from 2025. Along with the images, she posted a heartfelt message about love, growth, and gratitude. Jelena’s words came at a time when Novak is getting ready for another long tennis season. While many top players have already traveled to Australia, Djokovic is still spending time with family before the tour begins. The post quickly drew attention because Jelena rarely shares personal pictures. It reminded fans that behind the trophies and matches, family remains Novak’s biggest support system.
Novak Djokovic and Jelena Djokovic have been together since their teenage years. They married in 2014 and are parents to two children, Stefan and Tara. Over the years, Jelena has stayed by Novak’s side through wins, losses, injuries, and big career moments. Her New Year message showed that same steady support as they step into 2026 together.
Jelena wrote on Instagram,
“Ah 2025! So much to be grateful for Love, family, friendship, nature… they make life deeper, sweeter, and endlessly more meaningful. Wishing everyone health, love, and joy. May we keep growing into better, kinder versions of ourselves.”
She added,
“I used to think that the quote ‘I never want to grow up’ from Peter Pan was my childhood mantra. But I did grow up and ‘I never want to stop growing’ is the wish I hold for myself and for all of you. Much love, and God bless you.”
Novak Djokovic set to start 2026 season at the Adelaide International before Australian Open
While family moments made headlines, Novak Djokovic is also focused on tennis. The new season begins with events like the United Cup on January 2 and the Brisbane International soon after. Djokovic has chosen not to play in the opening week.
Instead, he will begin his 2026 season at the Adelaide International, scheduled from January 12 to January 17, according to the ATP calendar. This will be his first time starting a season in Adelaide and his first time playing a warm-up event so close to the Australian Open since 2009.
After Adelaide, Djokovic will move to Melbourne with one clear goal. He is chasing a record-setting 25th Grand Slam title at the Australian Open. In 2025, his run at the majors ended in the semifinals, falling short of another title. Still, his form and experience keep him among the favorites every year. His entry and seeding details will be confirmed closer to the tournament by the ATP.
Jelena Djokovic’s message showed calm and reflection, while Novak Djokovic prepares for another demanding season. Together, they step into 2026 with family first and tennis close behind.
