Recently, Mike Manning, an Instagram user, posted a video of Patrick Cantlay warming up before teeing off at the Ryder Cup in 2025. As he waits for his turn, Rory McIlroy tries to imitate Cantlay’s leg movements.
Fans and online viewers were divided; some found the clip hilarious, while some fans didn't question Rory's act. Michael Kim, a fellow PGA Tour professional, explained the reason behind Cantlay's pre-shot routine.
"He does it trying to put less pressure on his back since having a really bad back injury early in his career 🤷🏻♂️," Michael wrote.
For people who don't know, the local crowd harshly abused McIlroy and other European players. Many fans targeted the four-time major champion specifically and dragged his wife into the comments as well.
