Playing at the Terra Cotta Invitational 2026 at Naples National Golf Club, he finished tied 42nd in a field of 72 players. His total score of 3 over par came from rounds of 79, 71, and 69. Then came a better second round. He shot 1 under 71, mixing four bogeys with five birdies. That round helped him move up from 70th to 57th. It showed he could reset and fight back. The final round was even better. After a bogey on the first hole, he settled down and picked up birdies on 6, 7, 9, and 18. That pushed him up 15 spots to finish T42.

Still, this is not just about one event. His 2026 season has been difficult overall. At the Junior Invitational, he finished last with rounds of 75, 76, 83, and 80. At the AJGA Simplify Boys Championship, he placed 68th. He did slightly better at the Junior Orange Bowl, finishing 19th, but consistency is still missing.

Even with these results, there is support around him. Justin Thomas spoke about him on the Smylie Show. He said, “I wanna be if he wants me to be. I wanna help in any way I can. The shots that he can hit, a lot of guys on Tour can’t hit. He’s very, very impressive and I’m rooting for the best.” Justin Thomas shares a close bond with Tiger Woods, which makes his support feel more personal.
