Winter Olympics 2026 Alpine Skiing schedule for Milano Cortina 2026, stars eye Olympic glory

Alpine skiing will once again be one of the main attractions at the Winter Olympics. The sport will take center stage at the 2026 Milano Cortina Games. Some of the biggest names in skiing are ready to compete. American icons Mikaela Shiffrin and Lindsey Vonn are among the headline athletes. They will race against the best skiers from around the world on Italy’s famous mountain slopes.

The events will be split between two historic locations. Women’s races will be held at the Tofane Alpine Skiing Centre in Cortina d’Ampezzo. Men’s races will be held at the Stelvio Ski Centre in Bormio. With stunning scenery and challenging courses, alpine skiing is expected to deliver drama, speed, and unforgettable Olympic moments.

Alpine skiing action will begin even before the opening ceremony. Training runs for both men and women start ahead of the February 6 start of the Games. These sessions allow athletes to study the slopes and adjust to conditions.

Men’s downhill training begins first in Bormio on Wednesday, February 4. Women follow with their first downhill training session in Cortina on Thursday, February 5. The first medal event comes quickly. The men’s downhill final is scheduled for Saturday, February 7. It will be the first chance for alpine skiers to win Olympic gold.

Women will compete for downhill medals the next day, on Sunday, February 8. Team combined events follow early in the second week. These races test speed and technical skill. Downhill runs take place in the morning, followed by slalom later in the day.

Super-G events are set for midweek. The men’s Super-G final is on Wednesday, February 11. The women’s Super-G final is on Thursday, February 12. Giant slalom races will take place over the weekend. Each event features two runs, with medals decided on the combined time.

The alpine skiing program ends with slalom races. Men compete on Monday, February 16. Women close the schedule on Wednesday, February 18. All the Alpine Skiing events will be broadcasted live on Peacock. NBC will also show races across its TV channels. Times are listed in Eastern Time.
