Will Deen the Great get a fight with UFC star Bobby Green? After Larry Wheels incident, Shabazz clashes with Green as Quinton “Rampage” Jackson steps in to stop fight
Influencer boxer Deen the Great, whose real name is Nurideen Shabazz, has once again landed in controversy. He got into a heated exchange with UFC lightweight Bobby Green. The incident took place at a house party, where Shabazz was caught on camera mocking Green’s career and trying to provoke him into a fight. This comes just weeks after Shabazz faced backlash for threatening former UFC fighter Tiki Ghosn and getting slapped by Larry Wheels.
The situation quickly escalated when Bobby Green responded to the taunts in an unexpected way. The veteran fighter challenged Shabazz on the spot. He even offered to settle things immediately. However, things did not go further as former UFC champion Rampage Jackson stepped in and stopped the situation from turning physical, reminding Shabazz about his past actions and warning him against picking fights with active fighters.
The viral footage shows Nurideen Shabazz repeatedly mocking Bobby Green’s past knockout losses. He confidently claimed that he would defeat the UFC veteran and even went as far as saying he would risk everything he owns on such a fight. His remarks appeared to be aimed at provoking a reaction from Green in front of the crowd.
Bobby Green, who has fought more than 50 professional bouts, did not back down. Instead, he responded by pulling out a large amount of cash. He also challenged Shabazz to fight immediately. Green made it clear that if Shabazz was serious about his claims, they could settle the matter right then and there in front of everyone present.
As tensions rose, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson stepped between the two men. The former UFC champion warned Shabazz not to repeat the same mistake he made previously with Tiki Ghosn. Jackson pointed out that while Ghosn was retired, Green is still an active fighter and recently secured a knockout victory. His intervention helped calm the situation before it turned into a physical altercation.
Meanwhile, Bobby Green has been in strong form inside the Octagon. He recently secured a knockout win over Daniel Zellhuber at UFC Mexico City on February 28. This win extended his winning streak to two fights. Despite targeting a big-name opponent like Nate Diaz after the fight, those plans are no longer possible as Diaz is set to face Mike Perry in a separate bout.
