56th National Shooting Championship competitions to start in Delhi

NEW DELHI: The 56th National Shooting Championship Competitions are starting at Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Ranges, in Delhi from 19th December 2012. It will continue until 30th December 2012. This is being conducted by Haryana State Rifle Association. Deep Bhatia is the organizing secretary of the National Championship. More than 2300 shooters from 41 affiliated State Rifle Associations/Units have confirmed their entries.
Rajiv Bhatia, Secretary , NRAI, "This is a record number of entries we are participating at the competition. It shows the growing interest amongst the general public in shooting sport. Top shooters of the country have confirmed their participation in this prestigious Championship. Abhinav Bindra, Gagan Narang, Vijay Kumar, Manavjit Singh, Ronjan Sodhi, Col RVS Rathore, Joydeep Karmakar, Sanjeev Rajput, Anjali Bhagwat, Suma Shirur, Heena Sidhu, Mampi Das will be vying for the top slot of the National Championship. The competition will start at 9.30 every day."
