Meanwhile n a video message, the BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, without making a mention of the allegations against him, indicated that he would not accept defeat till he has strength for fight.

"We are not talking to the media doesn't mean we are not doing anything about it. We have written to the commissioner of Delhi Police, asking for an action taken report. We have also asked them why they have not registered an FIR," the NSW chairperson Rekha Sharma told PTI.

"Political leaders are looking for benefits out of it now since everyone knows how Congress and the opposition are getting involved in it. Firstly, the wrestlers demanded a committee to be set up. Then they said their own person (Babita Phogat) should also be included. Now they don't trust their own family member. Committees record everything on video to keep a proof, so there is nothing to hide. Everything will be out soon. Wrestlers are getting worried because they know that their lies will get exposed sooner or later." --

‘Sexual harassment allegations’: Matter is in Supreme Court and the court will decide, says WFI chief Brij Bhushan Singh

Slamming the panel for purportedly giving a clean chit to the accused, they demanded making public the committee's report.

The petitioners had alleged that "after being sexually, emotionally, mentally and physically exploited by the accused and his close aides on numerous occasions, they along with other wrestlers mustered the courage to raise the issue before the authority concerned and protested, which led to the sports ministry setting up a five-member committee to probe the allegations".

Appearing for the petitioners, senior advocate Kapil Sibal said the wrestlers also wish to file an affidavit placing before the court additional facts supplementing the contents of the petition levelling sexual harassment charges against the WFI president.

Delhi Police on Wednesday informed the Supreme Court that it is ready to register an FIR based on the sexual harassment complaint filed by seven women wrestlers against Wrestling Federation of India president and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
