Fact check: Did Ayesha Curry really say her favorite thing about Stephen Curry is his bank account amid divorce rumors?
It’s no secret that Stephen Curry and his wife Ayesha are one of the power couples of the NBA. These two actually met in their teenage years, and after more than ten years of marriage, they are now proud parents of four children. However, the couple has been subjected to a lot of rumors lately, including a divorce rumor.
It all started when a video of Ayesha Curry from the podcast Call Her Daddy went viral. She talked candidly about how her opinions on marriage and motherhood have evolved over time during the conversation with host Alex Cooper. However, since then, a lot of fake and controversial comments and quotes of Curry have surfaced the internet.
The recent controversial quote of Mrs. Curry started circulating after X user @HoopsCrave uploaded the same with a tagline that read:
“Ayesha Curry reveals her favorite thing about Steph Curry “His bank account”
However, this is seemingly false as no credible sources have reported this. This isn’t the first time a headline like this made the news. The couple has been the subjects of a divorce rumor lately. It all started after an interview of Mrs. Curry on the Call Her Daddy podcast went viral two months ago.
During the podcast episode, Curry said:
“I didn’t want kids. I didn’t want to get married. I thought I was going to be ‘career girl,’ and that’s it.. After we got married, we found out we were pregnant so quickly, I didn’t even have time to think about what I wanted anymore.”
However, the latest divorce rumors don't seem to have affected the couple. Following the rumors, Steph even dedicated a message to his wife on Instagram. With a cute picture of himself and Ayesha, he wrote:
“Life’s been throwing some jabs recently, but it’s always a reminder that I got my backbone and my rock with me through it all. Love you, my woman..”
Ayesha also shared a family photo with Steph and their four children shortly after and wrote in the caption, "Life lately." The couple is still living together and doesn't seem to be planning a divorce. Hence, none of the rumors are actually true. Additionally, neither Steph, nor Ayesha actually acknowledged the quote.
Ayesha Curry and Stephen Curry have found themselves in the news lately as a resurfaced video of the actress from an interview viral online again. During an appearance on the “Red Table Talk” series, which is no longer on air, Ayesha Curry mentioned that women often reach out to Stephen Curry.
Talking about it, she said:
"But there have been a couple of times where I've wanted to punch somebody in the face for sure… He can't see it coming, I see it from a mile away."
However, Stephen Curry has always remained loyal to his wife and their four adorable children.
