Heartwarming NBA birthday moment: Gabrielle Union’s loving tribute makes Dwyane Wade’s big day even more special

In honor of the iconic Dwyane Wade's 44th birthday, South Beach and the entire basketball community take a moment on January 17. His wife and daughter, among others, sent him well wishes, as was to be anticipated. On her husband's 43rd birthday, Gabrielle Union gave him a loving tribute.

Union shared a heartfelt four-word remark expressing her love and respect for the NBA star along with a wonderful old photo. Recently, Union was seen celebrating her husband’s birthday in a restaurant, with their friends and family members.

Gabrielle Union’s emotional toast and intimate dinner make Dwyane Wade’s birthday celebration truly special

On Friday, NBA legend Dwyane Wade and his wife, Gabrielle Union, celebrated Wade's 43rd birthday. Union expressed her admiration for the NBA Hall of Famer in a poignant post on her Instagram story, where she was seen celebrating Wade's birthday.

Union raised her glass in honor of the Miami Heat legend and spoke before he could cut the cake. She said:

“And the guy you call when you dislocate me. I love you. I love you so much and everyone in this room loves you… And I hope this day is as awesome as you are. So if you want to say a few words, bring it in a few people..”

The video was initially shared by DJ Trauma on their Instagram Stories. The actress then shared the same on her Instagram. This wasn’t the first wish from Union. Last week, on Wade’s birthday, Union posted the following quotation from the legend during his retirement:

"I see myself retiring from the NBA to spend time with my wife and kids. Also retiring as one of the greatest to play the game.”




There were pictures of him and his victories in the image as well. Union included a lovely note with the picture:

"It's my baby's birthday!!!! @dwyanewade.”

Additionally, during the same time, the couple went to Yamashiro Miami, a Japanese restaurant, to celebrate the birthday of the Miami legend and have dinner together. The eatery posted a photo of the couple to Instagram with the following caption:

“A celebration above the city. Honored to welcome Dwyane Wade and his beautiful wife Gabrielle Union to Yamashiro Miami for a special birthday evening. Happy Birthday to a true legend… Thank you for choosing us to be part of the moment…”

Following the restaurant's social media post, the actress posted the image to her Instagram Stories with the following caption:

“Incredible dinner last night in Miami! Thank you @mattthealchemist for making the connect!”

Last week, Kaavia James stole the spotlight with an adorable birthday tribute for dad Dwyane Wade

Kaavia James, the couple's gorgeous daughter, also wrote a sweet greeting on the same date. On January 18, the 6-year-old shared a carousel on Instagram. The first photo featured the 44-year-old NBA player dancing with his daughter.

The caption of the post read:

“Promise to always follow your lead one step at a time! So lucky to call you daddy! Happy birthday weekend daddy!”

It included multiple images and videos of the couple enjoying themselves and giving each other hugs. Wade appears in one of the pictures sporting a bright pink knit beanie and a white top. He puckered his lips slightly and had a carefree, happy expression.

Kavya is carefully holding a lip gloss applicator and applying it to his lips while gazing at him intensely. She is wearing a white hoodie with a cartoon princess on it. He has two other daughters, Zaya and Zaire, in addition to Kaavia. He also has a 9-year-old son named Xavier Zechariah. Wade also looks for his 21-year-old nephew, Dahveon Morris.
