NBA injury update: Stephen Curry ruled out of 2026 All-Star Game as Golden State Warriors face mounting concerns over star guard’s knee
On Monday, February 9, ahead of the clash against the Memphis Grizzlies, the Golden State Warriors' head coach, Steve Kerr, had an unfortunate update. It was about the injury status of the team’s star guard, Stephen Curry. The athlete sustained a knee injury, because of which he was ruled out for evaluation during the game against the Detroit Pistons. It seems like the problem has not been solved yet, as Curry will be missing the All-Star Games of 2026.
Since January 30, Curry has not played a single game. This has affected the performance of the team as a whole. In the 2025-2026 season, Curry is averaging 27.2 points with 3.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists. The latest news about the athlete is disappointing, not just for the fans but also for the team. The Warriors are struggling in the games without their top players.
This season, the Golden State Warriors have been able to leave a mark on the league. They are currently in the 8th spot of the Western Conference. Their win-loss stat is 28-25. After the All-Star weekend, the regular season for the Warriors will start on February 19. They will be facing the Boston Celtics. While Curry will miss the two matchups during this week, it has not been confirmed that the athlete will return for the game on 19th February.

Amidst all these, the athlete has now been ruled out of the 2026 All-Star Games. This was announced by the team’s head coach, Steve Kerr. Now the league will have to look for a player to replace Curry in the All-Star Games. This season, the Golden State Warriors have been able to leave a mark on the league. Why Golden State Warriors should be careful about bringing back Stephen Curry on the court?
The Golden State Warriors are already far behind how they actually expected the season to turn out. Especially after Jimmy Butler was ruled out due to a torn ACL. The entire responsibility would now fall on Stephen Curry. However, Curry has been facing problems in his right knee ever since he banged it in November 2025. Curry is suffering from patellofemoral pain syndrome (Runner’s knee). The athlete has suffered knee soreness in the past. Hence, it is important to first get the athlete completely cured before allowing him on the court again.Get the latest ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 updates, including the full schedule, teams, live scores, points table, and key series stats such as top run-scorers and wicket-takers.
