Stephen Curry’s wife Ayesha Curry reacts to heartbreaking Minneapolis shooting incident involving 37-year-old resident
Stephen Curry’s wife, Ayesha Curry, reacted to the fatal Minneapolis incident. It involved a 37-year-old resident, Alex Pretti, who was shot dead by federal agents. The incident shook everyone and generated reactions from individuals across different areas and professions. Ayesha also took a stand on the issue. She reposted former US President Barack Obama’s statement on the issue. Obama posted the statement as a collaboration with his wife, Michelle Obama.
The former US president drafted a detailed statement where he spoke about how the core values of the nation are at stake. He slammed the current government for its failure to deal with the situation and for escalating it. As Ayesha reshared the post on her story, she inherently condemned the unfortunate incident suffered by the Twin Cities.
He acknowledged that the federal agents have a tough job. Regardless, they are expected to carry out their jobs efficiently without affecting public safety. That is not something which has been prevalent or observed in recent times. Obama further added, “For weeks now, people across the country have been rightly outraged by the spectacle of masked ICE recruits and other federal agents acting with impunity and engaging in tactics that seem designed to intimidate, harass, provoke and endanger the residents of a major American city.” He slammed the inefficiency of the current administration in the next lines, “These unprecedented tactics – which even the former top lawyer of the Department of Homeland Security in the first Trump administration has characterized as embarrassing, lawless and cruel – have now resulted in the fatal shootings of two U.S citizens. And yet rather than trying to impose some semblance of discipline and accountability over the agents they’ve deployed, the President and current administration officials seem eager to escalate the situation, while offering public explanations for the shootings of Mr. Pretti and Renee Good that aren’t informed by any serious investigation – and that appear to be directly contradicted by video evidence.”

The former US President hoped for a change in approach towards the end of his note. He believed that the administration might “finding ways to work constructively with Governor Walz and Mayor Frey as well as state and local police to avert more chaos and achieve legitimate law enforcement goals.” He also applauded the peaceful protest in the city and urged every other American to get inspired and start asking for answers from the government.
