Responding to the query, Steve stated, “He won’t play today. He is sick and he will be out. We will see about it on Monday. We are not sure yet.” This is the fourth straight game missed by the athlete. His last game was against the Boston Celtics.


When asked about what the athlete is dealing with, Steve decided not to speak about it. “I can’t really say anything. Just that it is a medical issue way beyond my capabilities of explaining anything. Steve stated, “It was a stupid mistake by me to talk about something that I am not qualified to talk about. I regret it even trying to discuss the diagnosis. That was my mistake. He refuted the rumors of a POTS diagnosis and stated that Kristaps was just simply sick. Steve had apparently confirmed the information with the Atlanta Hawks GM, Onsi Saleh. He stated, “When I heard about the trade, I read about his POTS diagnosis and then called Onsi Saleh, who was with us, he’s now Atlanta’s GM and he’s a good friend of mine. I called him and I said, ‘is this POTS story real?' And he said it’s actually not POTS. It was not POTS.' So that was some misinformation that was out there.”
