This is not the first time Hudson has made headlines. Before the Patriots faced the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX, Belichick and Hudson attended a North Carolina vs. Duke basketball game.

Hudson wore a shirt that referenced “Orchids of Asia Day Spa,” the Florida spa connected to a past investigation involving Patriots owner Robert Kraft. Sports commentator Skip Bayless later criticized that move on his YouTube show.

He said, “It was snarky, petty, and it was really low blow. It is the lowest form of a cheap shot.” His wife, Ernestine, added, “She’s controlling his life.” Bayless also said, “He embarrassed the school through her.”

For context, charges against Robert Kraft were later dropped after courts ruled that the surveillance used in the case was unconstitutional. Kraft has continued to maintain his innocence.
