Buffalo Bills' star edge rusher, Von Miller, was handed a four-game suspension by the
NFL on Tuesday. While the NFL has not disclosed the specific reason behind the suspension, it comes at a crucial time as Buffalo prepares for its upcoming game against the Houston Texans. Miller, who holds the title of the NFL's active leader in sacks, will return to the Bills lineup on November 3, just in time for a high-stakes matchup against the Miami Dolphins.

The suspension follows allegations from November of last year when Miller was accused of assaulting his pregnant girlfriend at their home near Dallas during the Bills' bye week.
He voluntarily turned himself in to the authorities, facing a third-degree felony assault charge, which carries a potential penalty of two to ten years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine. Despite these serious allegations, no formal charges have been filed against Miller. In July, he stated that based on his legal team's feedback, he believed the case was behind him. “My life is all about football right now and my kids, and being the best teammate and best football player I can possibly be,” Miller said at the time, emphasizing his focus on football and family.
The relationship between Miller and the woman, who has been his partner for seven years, has resulted in two children, and the couple was expecting a third at the time of the alleged incident. According to a police affidavit, Miller reportedly assaulted her during an argument, putting his hands on her neck and pulling her hair. She sustained minor injuries, including bruising, and the affidavit revealed that Miller became "visibly angry" when the situation escalated.
Although no legal conclusion has been reached, Miller's suspension has forced the Bills to make adjustments on the roster. Defensive tackle Zion Logue was signed from the Atlanta Falcons’ practice squad to fill the void left by Miller. Logue, drafted in the sixth round, previously played college football at Georgia.
As the legal proceedings and suspension loom over Miller’s career, his future with the Bills remains a topic of uncertainty. However, the veteran linebacker remains hopeful to return stronger and continue his focus on the game and his family.
