Bill Belichick’s girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, didn’t say much Monday night. She didn’t have to. One Instagram Story did the work.
Hudson, 24, attended the College Football Playoff National Championship between the Indiana Hoosiers and Miami Hurricanes in Miami on Jan. 20. During the game, she posted a selfie from a suite with social media influencer Alix Earle. The caption was short and deliberate. “Friend from an alternate timeline.” The post spread fast.
The game itself ended with Indiana beating Miami 27-21. But online, the focus shifted away from the score and straight to Hudson, Earle, and why the pairing felt loaded.
Jordon Hudson and Alix Earle sharing a suite wasn’t random, and fans noticed immediately
Hudson shared the photo on her Instagram Stories during the game. She wore a blue blazer over a dark top, finished with red lipstick and sunglasses perched on her head. Earle sat beside her wearing Miami green, openly supporting her alma mater. At the time of posting, Earle did not repost the photo or acknowledge Hudson on her own Instagram.
That did not stop the comparisons.
Fans have linked the two women for weeks due to separate headlines involving NFL royalty. Hudson’s relationship with Belichick, 73, has drawn constant attention because of their age gap and her visibility around the North Carolina Tar Heels program this season.
Earle, 25, fueled similar chatter after she was spotted with Tom Brady in St. Barts on New Year’s Eve, though nothing public came of it.
The overlap was obvious. Young influencer. Older NFL legend. Public fascination followed by speculation. Hudson’s caption leaned into that awareness without explaining it.
The timing mattered. This was Hudson’s first widely seen public appearance with Belichick in weeks. It also came after months of scrutiny around her role at UNC. She had been photographed giving Belichick a sideline pep talk, waiting outside press conferences, and posting celebratory selfies after wins. Each moment kept her in the conversation.
This one did more than that. It reframed it.
Bill Belichick watched the game quietly, while his future stayed loud in NFL circles
Belichick also attended the championship game. He was shown on the broadcast enjoying a drink while watching from the stands. TickPick shared a video of him taking in the action on X, formerly Twitter.
Off the field, his name continued to circulate in NFL coaching conversations. Earlier that same day, ESPN analyst Rex Ryan raised the idea of Belichick returning to the league. Speaking on “Get Up!”, Ryan said, “If you can get the greatest head coach in the history of our game you gotta go do. Now is the time.” He continued, “Everybody can say the game has passed him by because he doesn't have Tom Brady. We'll give him Josh Allen and let's see. I feel strongly about this.”
As of now, Belichick remains the head coach at North Carolina. He finished his first college season 4-8 after taking over the Tar Heels program in 2024. He previously coached the New England Patriots from 2000 to 2023, winning six Super Bowls.
