Stoutland joined the Eagles in 2013 and became the last remaining link to the Chip Kelly era. Over 13 seasons, Philadelphia reached the playoffs nine times, won two Super Bowls, and built a reputation for having one of the league’s most dominant offensive lines. Several players under his guidance earned All-Pro honours, while others went on to long and successful NFL careers.

Philly hired Sean Mannion as offensive coordinator on Jan. 29, 2026. Reporter Chase Senior later noted that some candidates were hesitant to join the staff because of Stoutland’s extensive influence over both the offensive line and the run game, making his departure even more significant.

Per Zach Berman of The Athletic, the Philly would have welcomed Stoutland in an unofficial role had he chosen to stay. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo added that other teams have already expressed interest.
