At the time, a source told People, “It’s new, but they are having fun.” Fast forward to November 2024, and Allen was on one knee, proposing to Steinfeld with the ocean as their backdrop. In her Instagram announcement, Steinfeld captioned the moment with the date “11•22•24,” giving fans a glimpse into their fairytale.


In her Beau Society newsletter, Steinfeld gave fans more intimate details. Allen recalled the humorous moment before the proposal: “You jumped on the bed and said, ‘Can we get married already?!?’” What she didn’t know was that he had a ring ready to go. “I said I can’t wait to start a family with you,” Allen shared, adding, “You were extremely surprised, you said yes, and that was all that mattered to me.”

A supportive love that fuels success on and off the field

Their relationship appears to go beyond romance—it’s built on mutual support. Speaking to the Associated Press, Allen said, “She’s been a huge part… the morale, the support. When I get home, she’s my biggest fan.” His teammate Dion Dawkins echoed the sentiment, calling Steinfeld Allen’s “one stable person” in a whirlwind life.


This emotional stability might just be the secret ingredient to Allen’s on-field success. He not only led his team with renewed vigor but also took home the NFL MVP award in February 2025. In his acceptance speech, Allen gushed, “You’ve been my rock. You are my best friend [and] I would not be standing on this stage if it weren’t for you.”

From shopping with Allen’s mom in Buffalo to attending a pet adoption event, the couple shows they’re grounded despite the spotlight. Whether it was Halloween couple costumes or skipping the red carpet for a more low-key vibe at the Sinners after-party in April 2025, Steinfeld and Allen balance stardom with personal intimacy. As Steinfeld put it recently, “I’m so happy—we’re so happy—and we’re just soaking in every moment.”
