While The Athletic had initially chosen to stand by Dianna Russini’s side, she has now been reportedly sidelined by the organisation. Amid all the mess, Dianna Russini’s co-workers have broken their silence on the scandal.

A few hours ago, as per Natalie Korach of Status, many of Dianna Russini’s colleagues might have had a problem with how The Athletic decided to support her initially.


Natalie Korach of Status noted in a recent report, "Staffers inside both The Times and The Athletic expressed concern over the paper’s judgment on the matter, with one telling Status their handling of the situation was 'unnecessarily messy.'

The report added, “Another questioned how Ginsberg could omit any mention of the investigation in his initial statement if the probe had indeed started immediately, calling it 'reckless’ and 'premature,' or worse, 'intentionally sneaky.'”

For the unversed, on 7th April, just hours after Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini’s pictures at a luxurious hotel were released to the public, The Athletic executive editor Steven Ginsberg stood by her side.

In a strong statement to E! News, The Athletic executive editor Steven Ginsberg said, "These photos are misleading and lack essential context…”

Steven Ginsberg added, “These were public interactions in front of many people. Dianna is a premier journalist covering the NFL and we're proud to have her at the Athletic."

While it seems The Athletic expected the alleged affair rumors to die down soon, it only started getting worse.

Over the last few days, both the New England Patriots’ head coach, Mike Vrabel, and the popular NFL insider and reporter, Dianna Russini, have been brutally trolled.

Many of Dianna Russini’s old remarks on her marriage and her husband have also raised eyebrows as many feel its a hint at how things were not okay at her home.

However, after both Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini strongly denied affair rumors, they have remained distant from the drama.

While The Athletic seems to be taking action on Dianna Russini, the New England Patriots remain silent about Mike Vrabel’s situation with the team.
