During a March 7 appearance on Good Morning Football, Dawkins was asked about his offseason plans and whether he had any weddings on the horizon. With a smile, he responded: "Josh Allen is one of a kind and he has sealed that deal. However, when Dawkins reappeared on The Rich Eisen Show on May 23, his tune had noticeably changed. When Eisen pressed him about the supposed upcoming nuptials, Dawkins claimed ignorance.

"Is that coming up? I ain't know nothing about that," he said. "I have no idea what's going on. We're all here. We're all here in Buffalo, working out. I'll give those guys a Facetime call and see how everything is going, but I have no idea. I have no idea."

He even leaned into humor to deflect attention from the topic, saying, "I'm in the fog. I am currently in Orchard Park, and I'm focused on Hallmark, and I'm focused on eating a nice batch of wings today."

Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld reportedly got engaged during the Bills’ bye week on November 22, 2024, in Malibu. Since then, the couple has kept all details about the ceremony private, despite growing interest from fans and media alike.

When asked about a wedding gift for the couple, Dawkins offered a tongue-in-cheek response: "Josh can walk down the aisle in one piece, and be happy that he's walking down the aisle with all fingers and all toes."
