It’s no secret that the Buffalo Bills have never won a Super Bowl. Despite a good overall performance this year, the Kansas City Chiefs once again bested the Buffalo Bills 32-29 Sunday in the AFC title game, reaching the Super Bowl. And now Bills quarterback Josh Allen has revealed in his season-ending press conference that he has suffered a new injury which may render him unavailable for this week’s Pro Bowl Games.

Will Bills QB Josh Allen Be Absent From Pro Bowl Games Due To His Wrist Injury?

On Monday, Allen had his right hand wrapped during the news conference and shared that he didn’t know if he’ll participate later this week. Before Super Bowl LIX brings the 2024-25 NFL season to a close, some of the best players from the American and National Conferences will meet in another edition of the Pro Bowl. But Allen may not be a part of this year’s line-up at all, due to his injury.
“I got a little banged-up hand right now — a wrist,” Allen said, as per Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News. “So, I got to talk with docs right now and figure it out. But we’ll see.” Allen said the injury was quite new. “It was just right at the goal line. The two-point play before halftime, got crunched up a little bit,” Allen said. “I was able to finish the game with just some swelling and stuff today.”
Allen admitted that he was not anticipating any offseason procedures but does intend to take some time to let his body heal. “Got bumps and bruises from last night, took a few shots, and just trying to make sure that my body’s in as good as condition as it can be — giving maybe a week or two and just kind of getting back to work,” Allen said.
Allen finished his 2024 campaign with a career-low six interceptions and 14 sacks taken. He also passed Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly for most touchdowns in Bills history with 262. The quarterback revealed that for season No. 8, he wants to focus on the mechanics. "I think mechanically just still staying on it, making sure that I'm seeing the right people and being as efficient as a passer as I can be," Allen explained. "There's times throughout the year where I'm working in practice and just things they don't feel right, and I'm working all week to try to make sure that I get that feeling of the ball coming off the hand clean."
