Joy Taylor opens up for the first time about being fired by FOX Sports and the ongoing scandalous lawsuit
Joy Taylor, the former Fox Sports’ executive, has had a pretty tough year after she got involved in a scandalous legal lawsuit earlier this year. While the lawsuit is ongoing, Joy Taylor continued on with her job at Fox Sports’ Speak which she co-hosted with Keyshawn Johnson and Paul Pierce. But just a few weeks back, Joy Taylor was fired by FOX Sports and now, she has broken her silence on it.
When Joy Taylor was asked about the legal mess, she said, "Well, it's still an ongoing legal situation, so I can't comment on that. I will have something to say about it…when I can legally.”
However, Joy Taylor strongly denied any connection between her lawsuit and getting fired from FOX Sports.
The former FOX Sports executive added, "I will say that that situation and that suit had nothing to do with the changes that happened at FS1. I mean, I think from a logical standpoint, everyone can just look at it and see what the changes were and that there were three shows that were cut."
For the unversed, earlier this year, Joy Taylor, Charlie Dixon and Emmanuel Acho had found themselves in a huge legal mess. Former FOX Sports’ employee Noushin Faraji had filed a lawsuit against them for “sexual misconduct”.
As per the lawsuit filed by Noushin Faraji, apparently, Charlie Dixon had tried to get close to her even though she rejected his advances. This led Noushin Faraji to approach Joy Taylor but Taylor allegedly told her not to complain about it and “to get over it”.
This allegedly led Noushin Faraji to uncover ongoing “inappropriate workplace sexual relationships” at FOX Sports. Noushin Faraji alleged that Joy Taylor also had such inappropriate relationship to “advance” in her career.
Noushin Faraji ended up accusing Charlie Dixon of sexual battery and filed a lawsuit against Joy Taylor.
However, Joy Taylor has strongly denied such claims and continues to maintain she is innocent. There have been no updates on the lawsuit in public yet even though Joy Taylor has been fired.
While FOX Sports had issued a statement earlier this year about investigating the lawsuit internally, there have been no updates on it yet, even as Joy Taylor continued to be employed for few months.
