Choosing a name is no small feat, especially when it carries meaning and sentiment, so the Kelces took their time before officially introducing Finnley Anne Kelce to the world. Kylie opened up about the naming process on her Not Gonna Lie podcast, revealing that they had to "run it back to the archives" to find the right fit.

On her podcast, she admitted that for the first 24 hours of their daughter’s life, she and Jason hadn’t settled on a name. Despite discussing options with close friends and family, they ultimately chose a name that wasn’t even on their final list.

Kylie explained that they had a few contenders but didn’t feel completely sold on any of them. Instead, they revisited a name they had once considered for their older daughter, Elliotte. “Considering we had to name four children with the same gender, we had to run it back to the archives and borrow one from a different child,” she joked.

Once the couple landed on Finnley, they knew it was the perfect fit. Kylie explained that while the name “Finn” wasn’t initially in their discussions for this baby, it had been a strong contender in the past. Since it still resonated with them, they decided to bring it back.

As for the middle name, Anne, it holds sentimental value. Kylie shared that the name Anne connects to several important people in their lives, including her grandmother, sister, and multiple cousins. It also has a connection to the Philadelphia Eagles community, as Annie Elliott, the wife of Eagles kicker Jake Elliott, shares the name.

Of course, with any celebrity baby name announcement, opinions come rolling in. Anticipating potential critiques about the spelling or choice of name, Kylie made it clear that she wasn’t interested in outside input. “You’re allowed to have your own opinion, but I actually don’t care what it is,” she stated with a laugh.

Some fans pointed out that Finnley doesn’t have a double “T” like her siblings’ names, but Kylie reassured them that the double consonant rule was still in play—just with two “N’s” instead! Supporters flooded her comments, praising the choice and celebrating the newest addition to the Kelce family.

Kylie and Jason are already parents to Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 2, and now, baby Finnley completes their girl squad. While the naming process took a little longer this time around, Kylie made it clear that she and Jason are thrilled with their choice.

With Finnley officially part of the Kelce family, Kylie couldn’t help but gush over how well the name suits her little one. “She’s very much a Finn,” she said proudly. And just like that, another chapter in the Kelce household begins—with an adorable new addition to the team.
