NEW DELHI: India’s experienced batter KL Rahul is on the brink of a significant career milestone — just 199 runs away from reaching 9000 international runs. With the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground set to host the third Test against England, the stage is perfectly set for KL Rahul to achieve the feat at the “Home of Cricket.” The third Test of the five-match series starts Thursday.So far, the 33-year-old has scored 8801 runs from 217 international matches across formats.

In Tests, KL Rahul has featured in 60 matches, scoring 3493 runs with nine centuries. His highest Test score — a memorable 199 — came against England.In ODIs, he has notched up 3043 runs in 85 matches, including seven centuries. His best ODI knock of 112 came against New Zealand.
