LA Rams QB Matthew Stafford’s Wife Kelly Talks About A Scary Episode Involving Mountain Lions

As the Los Angeles Rams gear up for a playoff push, rumours are swirling about a reunion between Super Bowl champion wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and quarterback Matthew Stafford who recently recovered from a minor lateral ankle sprain. While the QB stays busy with on-field duties, his wife Kelly has been making news this month, thanks to her podcast.Kelly along with her longtime friend Hank Winchester host a podcast together called ‘The Morning After’ where the two hosts talk about navigating the spotlight and also about parenthood. During the newest edition of her podcast, Kelly revealed a rather dangerous episode which took place at her family’s Hidden Hills home in California and shockingly, it involves a mountain lion!A few days ago, the mom of four got a call from the school saying they were on lockdown as a mountain lion had been spotted in the vicinity. “They had a lockdown because the Mountain Lion had made it to the school,” said Kelly.“We’ve weathered the earthquakes, the fires. Well, now we have mountain lions,” she cheekily added. Kelly also revealed that mountain lions are not too uncommon around her neighbourhood. The NFL wife apparently spoke to someone from the area who she plays tennis with and they said, “Oh we have those things on our property all the time. We live mountainside.”Furthermore, the school’s failure to train kids or parents to handle such situations annoyed Kelly as she considers these sightings to be a real threat. “I mean we’re just like ‘Woo, Mountain lion in the backyard, this is so cool… What the fu*k? No, it’s not [cool]. This is dangerous. These are my kids’ lives,” said Kelly.According to Kelly, the authorities are to blame for the safety hazard as the podcaster revealed that the authorities had built a bridge between two mountain ranges so that the endangered mountain lions (whose populations are dwindling due to repeated inbreeding) could travel to the other side where they can breed healthy populations. The animals are using the bridge to venture into human settlements.“I was like ‘Oh fantastic, save the mountain lions, let’s just bring them all over here so our kids and our dogs and our pets and our horses and myself can be in danger… We’re going to be endangered,” she said.Though the family is safe for now, it’s clear that the issue is quite worrying and may irk residents in the neighbourhood.
