Lanier pushed back firmly against speculation linking ICE operations to Super Bowl LX. “There are no planned ICE or immigration enforcement operations that are scheduled around the Super Bowl or any of the Super Bowl-related events,” Lanier said, addressing the rumors that had circulated for weeks.

Her comments come amid increased scrutiny of large scale sporting events and how security measures are perceived by the public. According to Lanier, the NFL’s approach follows the same structure used in previous Super Bowls, focusing on preparedness, coordination, and crowd safety rather than enforcement actions unrelated to the game.

“Consistent with previous years, we're supported by more than 35 federal, state, and local agencies,” Lanier said. “All of these agencies are here to ensure that the Super Bowl and the surrounding community are safe while we carry out all the fun activities around the Super Bowl.”
