Also, Prysock brings a different look. The star stands 6-foot-3 with long arms, which gives him an edge in contested coverage. He played over 700 snaps in each of the last three seasons in college, showing durability and consistency. His coverage numbers improved, too. He cut down yards allowed and finished his final season allowing just 8.4 yards per reception.

There is also a bigger picture. Kansas City still has to address its pass rush. Losing key edge depth has created another hole. That likely pushes the front office to use an early pick on a pass rusher or safety. As a result, cornerback becomes a later priority. That is where Prysock fits perfectly.


Of course, he is not a finished product. He tends to get handsy when beaten, which led to penalties in college. His height also forces him to play high at times, which quicker receivers can exploit. These are coachable issues, but they explain his Day 3 projection.


Even so, this is how contenders stay competitive. They find value where others hesitate. For the Chiefs, adding a player like Prysock could quietly stabilize a shaken secondary while bigger moves address the top of the roster.
