The Buffalo Bills defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in a crucial AFC matchup, with Josh Allen now considered the best quarterback in football. The Bills are one game behind their playoff rivals in securing home field advantage. Shannon Sharpe broke down the possibility of a third team that could be considered the best in the AFC by exploring the First Take space on Monday morning.
Shannon Sharpe believes the best team in the entire AFC was Pittsburgh
Former Baltimore Ravens' Shannon Sharpe admits the best team in the entire AFC was Pittsburgh, even by his own bias. Sharpe thinks that the Steelers could be the best team in the division, and in the conference.
“I’m not so sure it’s not the Pittsburgh Steelers,” Sharpe said via ESPN’s First Take. “I think we can put to rest that the Ravens are the best team. I think Kansas City hasn’t played well all year, especially offensively. Their defense was outstanding with the exception of yesterday. I’m not so sure it’s not the Pittsburgh Steelers considering the way they played defense and how they neutralized the Baltimore Ravens’ offense yesterday and their ability to get the ball down the field and score when they absolutely have to. They’re well coached, they don’t beat themselves.”
The Steelers, who were a seventh seed in the AFC playoffs, have dramatically improved with Russell Wilson at the helm. They've gained 71 points on the field, putting them third in the AFC, only behind the Los Angeles Chargers and Buffalo Bills.
Pittsburgh went on to defeat the Baltimore Ravens, moving to 8-2 on the year with its dual quarterback of Justin Fields and Russell Wilson. Coach Mike Tomlin is pretty compelling as well. Sharpe's bizarre pick was in after one was forced; but Stephen A. would have him "tested", in reference to the importance of an equalizing mix in football.

Punching the red zone should be their target, and they could consistently score close to 30 points per game. Although the Steelers are not undoubtedly the best in the AFC, their trajectory is evident with seven games remaining in the regular season. Following Week 11's results, the Steelers control their destiny for the No.1 seed in the AFC, and they do not need to rely on other results.
