One does not hear that often: a mother-in-law being supportive of her daughter-in-law and vice versa. But when it transpires in a celebrity’s universe and becomes known to the world, it makes for a perfect marvel to wonder. That’s what happened with pop superstar Taylor Swift and her future mother-in-law, Donna Kelce.

At a recent appearance on The Traitors’ Reunion Special, Travis Kelce’s mother, Donna, was asked if her future daughter-in-law watched her TV show debut. “Yes, she’s a watcher,” Donna said. “So is her family. They love Traitors.” This was an example of DIL’s support; now let’s talk about MIL’s support.

Donna appeared on the latest season of Peacock’s Emmy-winning reality show, The Traitors. She was the first ‘secret traitor’ but was eliminated early by Episode 3.

Early in February, the 73-year-old former commercial banker told TMZ that she was on The Traitors show because she knew her mission was to increase viewership because of the people,p she’s familiar with. It was not because of her.

She just could not understand why she was eliminated so early; she wanted to stay in the show a little longer. She said that it would have helped their careers and brought in more viewership. This serves as one example illustrating the 11-time Pro Bowler’s mother’s support for her future daughter-in-law.

Another? Again, TMZ wanted to know whether she was asked to sign an NDA to keep secret details of the most-anticipated wedding of the century, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Mama Kelce shared then, “They know I can keep a secret!” This was soon-to-be DIL’s display of support, love, trust, and understanding for her future MIL.

During a New Heights episode, the Kansas City Chiefs’ star tight end said, “She stood her ground at the round table. I was so proud of her. She looked like she was having a blast, enjoying it all. She was the first ever secret traitor that the show has ever had and showed everybody what she’s got. It was just so cool to see her in this moment.”

Jason Kelce said she was more deceitful and devious than he ever thought she could be.

Continuing, the 36-year-old NFL tight end shared that his mother offered a beautiful message about being fortunate enough to do these things at her age and in the place, she was in her life.

Similarly, at the reunion special episode of The Traitors, which dropped on Feb. 26, when Donna was asked what her NFL kids and future DIL thought about her performance, she said, “They thought that I gave it my best shot, but they’re like, you were probably more treacherous than we thought you could be.”

Wrapping up the show’s outcome, the winner was traitor Rob Rausch. He took $220,800 home. He beat faithful Maura Higgins.
