Connor Bedard, the 19 year old star player of the Chicago Blackhawks, has been in the news lately ever since he received a penalty for “abuse of officials” at the match against the San Jose Sharks. This had sparked an uproar among fans as many speculated that the NHL is “targetting” the young player. But neither Connor Bedard nor his team has hinted towards that. Recently, the Chicago Blackhawks played against the Los Angeles Kings and faced a devastating loss but it is Connor Bedard who everyone is talking about.

In a video posted by ESPN on X that has now gone viral, Connor Bedard can be seen scoring the 19th goal in this season on one knee and fans are here for it.A fan commented, “Hear me out… buddy will be a star in two years”, while another fan wrote, “Connor Bedard absolutely ON FIRE! A fifth fan noted, “So tuff how he goes on a knee”. While Connor Bedard has recorded a consistent performance on the ice this season, the Chicago Blackhawks have been eliminated from the playoffs after it faced its sixth loss in a row last night against the Los Angeles Kings.
The star player, Connor Bedard, spoke about the loss after the match. As per the Chicago Sun-Times, Connor Bedard said, “We’ve got so many young guys that every game is important, just for growth and trying to improve.”Connor Bedard added, “We’re not fighting for a playoff spot or anything, but we’re trying to get better. We’re still competitors.” While Connor Bedard has been in the news for the penalty he received for “abuse of officials” a few days ago, he has also been advised by NHL analyst Craig Button to not sign a long term extension “too early”.Craig Button appeared on the Donnie & Dhali podcast recently and said, “there is nothing in Chicago that makes you think staying is beneficial”.
