​Former WWE superstar emotionally reacts to Kofi Kingston's surprise nod on RAW

NEW DELHI: Former WWE superstar Kofi Kingston paid a surprise tribute to his colleague, Mace, now known as Mason D. Madden in a heartfelt moment on this week's post-Elimination Chamber edition of RAW. The New Day member displayed a touching show of respect during a Street Fight that left fans in awe.The highly charged match, where Kingston and Xavier Woods faced Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser of Imperium, lasted just over 18 minutes and featured intense brawling and action throughout the SAP Center in San Jose, CA. Before the Street Fight commenced, WWE aired a clip showcasing The New Day's backstage arrival at RAW. In the footage, Kingston was spotted wearing a t-shirt from Mace's MxM brand, an apparent nod to the former WWE Superstar. Mace, who was released in September 2023, took to his Instagram Stories to share the clip and expressed his emotions with a brief caption. "[face holding back tears emoji] @truekofi," wrote Mason D. Madden, the former RAW announcer, alongside the reposted video.Previously a member of RETRIBUTION, Mace, along with his tag team partner Mansoor, was released in September 2023.
