Samantha Irvin CLAPS BACK with No-Holds-Barred Response to 'Gold Digger' Accusations

In a recent X thread exchange, WWE backstage interviewer Samantha Irvin found herself at the center of a heated controversy after a fan accused her of being a "gold digger." The fan, seemingly outraged by Irvin’s statement that Ricochet, her husband, is a millionaire, took to social media to voice their disapproval.

The controversy erupted after Irvin announced her departure from the brand and made a comment suggesting she no longer needed to work at a company she 'disliked,' as Ricochet was a 'millionaire.' An irate fan accused Irvin of being a 'gold digger.' Irvin clarified that her relationship with Ricochet predated his financial success. She explained that her comment was a reaction to the constant negativity and scrutiny directed at her husband, with many suggesting he was not "man enough" for her. She emphasized Ricochet's unwavering support, his significant accomplishments, and the deep love and respect they share.

To further dispel the notion of a superficial relationship, Irvin humorously revealed plans to celebrate her birthday with Ricochet by attending a Broadway show.

She wrote, “Kind of doesn’t work when you were with them before they became a millionaire.”




This feud started as a significant portion of the negative attention has been directed towards Irvin’s fiancé, Ricochet. Some fans have falsely accused Ricochet of influencing her decision and even suggested that he might have a detrimental impact on her career. Irvin, however, has firmly refuted these claims.

She wrote, “I don’t like announcing,” Irvin then went on to admit in her reply, “I’m serious! Announcing was only supposed to be my way in. I wanted to manage, maybe even become general manager one day. But WWE saw no other future for me besides announcer. I love watching the action, but I don’t love being an announcer.”

She further said, “Thank you so much, I love WWE and I’m so proud and honored I got to share all the moments with fellow fans. Much love!”


Nonetheless, as Irvin transitions to her music career, she carries with her the support of her husband. The couple, known for their support for each other, has been together since 2021. Ricochet has confirmed that Irvin will not be joining AEW. It is safe to say, her departure from WWE marks the end of an era.
