Blaupunkt Audio India has launched the SBW CHICAGO HT5.1, a 5.1-channel home theatre system priced at Rs 7,999. The system is built around a 350W output and pairs a three-driver soundbar with a tall subwoofer and two rear satellite speakers—a setup the company is pitching as a single replacement for multiple audio devices at home.
The idea is straightforward: one system for movies, music, and everything in between. The soundbar handles clarity up front, the subwoofer brings the low-end thump, and the rear satellites push audio into the room to create a 360-degree surround soundscape. Whether it actually delivers a convincing theatre-like experience at this price point is something listeners will have to judge for themselves, but the hardware configuration is more generous than what most soundbars in this range offer.
Connects to just about anything
Connectivity covers both wireless and wired bases—high-speed Bluetooth alongside multiple wired inputs, meaning you can loop in a gaming console, projector, smartphone, or even a vinyl player without much fuss. A full-function remote is included for control.
Sukhesh Madaan, CEO of Blaupunkt Audio India, said the SBW CHICAGO HT5.1 is designed for consumers who want "powerful and immersive surround sound and complete versatility, all from one system."
The SBW CHICAGO HT5.1 is available now across major online platforms and select retail stores in India. It is listed on Amazon at Rs 7,999.
