The Times of India Gadgets Now Awards 2025 brought together India's top tech innovations and celebrated the year's best gadgets in a star-studded ceremony that merged technology with glamour. The evening attracted a diverse mix of luminaries — from fashion designers and celebrity chefs to marketing leaders and legal experts — all coming together to honour excellence in consumer technology across multiple categories, including smartphones, smartwatches, audio devices and TVs. Also, for the first time ever, The Times of India-Gadgets Now Awards felicitated tech content creators.

Audio excellence takes the stage

The evening opened with author Sutupa Basu and actor-entrepreneur Manya Pathak presenting awards for the year's best audio devices. JBL Tour Pro 3 claimed the Editor's Choice for Best TWS of the Year, while Apple AirPods Pro 3 won the People’s Choice. OnePlus dominated the affordable segment, with Nord Buds 3r winning both categories for Best Affordable TWS, while OnePlus Buds 4 took Editor's Choice for Best Affordable Premium TWS.

Wearables and computing power

Fashion and interior designer Varija Bajaj joined Panasonic executives Abhishek Verma and Dhiraj Sharma to present smartwatch honors.
Google Pixel Watch 4 won Editor's Choice for Best Smartwatch, while Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic secured People's Choice. In the affordable segment, Noise ColorFit Pro 6 took People's Choice over Boat Enigma Radiant's Editor's Choice win.Computing excellence was recognized with HP OmniBook Flip X winning Editor's Choice for Best Laptop of the Year, while Samsung Galaxy Book 5 Pro claimed People's Choice. For gaming laptops, dominated Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Editor’s Choice while Alienware 18 Area-51 won hearts in People’s Choice.

AI takes centre stage

Partner at JSA Law Venkatesh Raman Prasad and Sunanya Chibba presented awards for cutting-edge technology. Samsung Galaxy Book 5 Pro won Editor's Choice for Best AI-Powered Gadget, while Neosapien Neo 1 secured People's Choice. Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra swept both categories for Best Tablet of the Year.

Home entertainment excellence

Celebrity chef Nishant Chaubey and Suraj Malik, CEO of Legacy Growth, recognized home audio winners, with Sony Bravia Theatre System 6 winning both Editor's and People's Choice awards.Global UX Head Deepika Dutta Kapoor and social entrepreneur Shalini Vig presented television honors. Samsung Neo QLED QN90F dominated the premium segment, winning both Editor's and People's Choice for Best TV of the Year. Xiaomi QLED TV FX Pro swept the affordable TV category in both voting streams.

Design and innovation awards

Home appliance excellence was recognized with Nuuk Ren Pro winning Editor's Choice for Best Vacuum Cleaner, while Eureka Forbes SmartClean Auto Bin S2 took People's Choice. In the standout design category, Dyson Hushjet Purifier Compact won Editor's Choice for Best Gadget with an Out-of-the-Box Design, while Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge captured People's Choice.Partner at JSA Law Vishnu Sudarsan and Dr. Jai Madan presented photography awards, with Nikon ZR winning Editor's Choice for Best Camera of the Year and Canon R50V claiming People's Choice.The smartphone categories proved highly competitive across all segments. Indian actor Rahul Dev and Ramakrishna P, CEO of India Mobile Congress, presented affordable and gaming smartphone awards. Nothing Phone 3(a) won Editor's Choice for Best Affordable Smartphone while Samsung Galaxy A17 secured People's Choice. In gaming, Vivo T4 Ultra took Editor's Choice while OnePlus 15R won People's Choice.OnePlus 13s claimed Editor's Choice for Best Affordable Premium Smartphone, with Google Pixel 9A winning People's Choice in the same category.

The grand finale

The evening's most prestigious smartphone honors were presented by Kapila Sethi, Director of Marketing at William Grant & Sons, and humanitarian Varun Pruthi. Samsung dominated the premium categories, with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 sweeping both Editor's and People's Choice for Best Foldable Smartphone.In the flagship segment, Apple iPhone 17 won Editor's Choice for Best Premium Smartphone, while Samsung Galaxy S25 captured People's Choice. For camera excellence, Google Pixel 10 Pro XL won Editor's Choice while Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra secured People's Choice.The night’s ultimate honor — Best Smartphone of the Year — went to Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra in both Editor's and People's Choice categories, cementing Samsung's position as the mobile industry's gold standard.
