Sundar Pichai shared details about his daily morning routine in an earlier interview, highlighting how the Google CEO begins his day with simple habits. Speaking to journalist Kara Swisher in a 2016 interview, Pichai said that he wakes up between 6:30am-7am in the morning. He added that reading news is one of the first things he does after waking up. During the interview, Sundar Pichai also shared his breakfast habit which he said he is consistent with every day. “I'm vegetarian so I need to get my protein. So I always have an omelette in the morning with toast tea and read my paper. So I do that every morning,” he said.
The Google CEO then added that he prefers to take time in the morning before starting work. He said he is not a morning person and uses this time to ease into the day.
When asked which newspapers he read, Pichai replied saying “I read the New York Times online”. He also spoke about his preference for tea, adding, “I still am very particular about having my tea. It's very English. you know I grew up in India.”
On exercise, Pichai said he does not work out in the morning. “No later in the day sometimes. you know if I get a chance but always in the evening,” he said. He also stated that while he would like to exercise in the morning, he prefers to focus on reading and having tea first to get ready for the day.
In an interview with founder of Aeos company Varun Mayya, Google CEO Sundar Pichai discussed his travel habits. When asked about his favorite Indian food, Pichai said that when in Bangalore he likes to have Dosa and he enjoys having Chole Bhature in Delhi. And when in Mumbai, Pichai likes to have Pav Bhaji.
“When it’s Bengaluru, I will probably get a Dosa. It’s my favourite food. If it’s Delhi, Chola Bhatura. And if it’s Mumbai, I’ll do a Pav Bhaji,” Pichai said in the interview.
