The #MeToo movement is a historic breaking point for women. The rise of #MeToo movement in India is all set to ensure a tectonic shift in work culture and gender equations. We are entering a new era.

In October 2017, millions of women from all over the world came forward on Twitter and Facebook to share their personal experiences of being sexually harassed or assaulted using the hashtag #MeToo. This came as an aftermath of Hollywood star Harvey Weinstein's fall from grace over allegations of molestation and rape.

The two words became a sensation after actress Ayssa Milano wrote to the Twitter users on October 16 to post "Me too" if they'd had ever faced sexual harassment, or worse. Needless to say, Twitter and Facebook was flooded.
