A realtor was brutally shot dead in broad daylight in Chandigarh, just hours after a shooting at Panjab University. The victim, who had recently reported an extortion call, was gunned down in his SUV. CCTV footage captured the brazen attack. Gangster Lucky Patial has claimed responsibility, citing the victim as an informant.

Punjab Police arrested Lovepreet Singh alias Gagan Dhillon, an alleged accomplice of Canada-based gangster prince chauhan, and claimed to have dismantled an extortion and targeted killing racket aimed against businessmen, influential persons and singers the state. Singh was apprehended with a pistol and ammunition. The police accused Chauhan of procuring illegal weapons for key operatives and filed FIRs against both under IPC sections and the Arms Act.

Tragedy struck the families of four youths, aged between 22 and 25 years, who were killed after the car they were travelling in hit a divider near Muzaffarnagar in UP on Tuesday morning. Two others were seriously injured.
