Sabarmati Riverfront is a waterfront being developed along the banks of Sabarmati River in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Even though the project was proposed in the 1960s, the construction began in 2005. Since 2012, the waterfront is gradually opened to public as and when facilities are constructed and various facilities are actively under construction.

The prime agendas of this project include environment improvement, social infrastructure and sustainable development.

The sabarmati riverfront Development Corporation Limited (SRFDCL) has approved the 'sabarmati riverfront Land Disposal Policy 2023', which allows the sale and lease of land on the riverfront. The policy, modelled after the GIFT City policy, divides the land into eight value zones and evaluates the value based on the building's footprint. Developers can purchase land development rights or lease the land for short-term or long-term use. The policy also includes a revenue sharing model and allows the sale of land for public facilities or private projects.

Ahmedabad: Riverfront attractions to stay open till 11pm from today

The sabarmati riverfront Development Corporation Ltd (SRFDCL) on Friday announced that all parks on the riverfront and the rainbow-coloured Atal Bridge will remain open to the public till 11pm in the summer, from Saturday onwards.
