Talk of the town: Saltó's owner, going by the name "El Tigre", regularly plays live with his band La Ruge.
This 100-year-old cavern started off life as a salt cellar before becoming a wine wholesaler, and vast barrels still decorate the space, along with an abundance of kitsch objects and eccentric artworks.
Owned by two former customers who rescued the place from closure a few years back, the bar is very much part of the bohemian Poble Sec scene, hosting gigs and concerts as well as a constant stream of friendly alternative types.
