With two long narrow indoor areas surrounding a large outdoor patio, Cedar Street is built for mingling. Bands play in the courtyard in front of a small dance floor that's always hopping.
Sure, it's a singles scene, but it's not an overly obnoxious one. The minglers and dancers are usually aged between 30 and 40 and are slightly more put-together than the average Austin hippie.

Despite the large roaming area, the venue can get uncomfortably crowded, particularly when popular cover bands such as The Spazmatics or Skyrocket are playing. Grab a seat near a window inside and enjoy the band and the people-watching.
