News has it that every cable car will be able to accommodate 30 passengers. The points of travel have been chosen to be Kachari Ghat at Pan Bazaar to Dol Govinda Temple in North Guwahati. It would take about 8 minutes to cover the distance between the two points.
The cable car cabins have been especially imported from Switzerland, whereas the tower materials are from Kolkata and Delhi. Accomplished Swiss designer Garaventa AG has been commissioned the job of giving technical support for giving shape to the cable car’s profile.
So, those are planning a trip to Guwahati in April can look forward to add a joyride in the cable car to their travel itinerary.
