The Choco Museum, Cusco

Is there anybody in the world who doesn’t like chocolate? Of course not! And especially not in a country that is famed for producing some of the world’s richest and best cacao and chocolate. Most itineraries of Cusco are jam-packed with Incan ruins and temples but we really suggest taking some time out and visiting the Choco Museum in Cusco. It is conveniently located a couple of blocks away from the main square and offers a unique experience that you will remember for a long time. The best part is that entry to the museum is free.
The museum provides a great introduction to the history of chocolate and the importance of cacao and chocolate in Incan life. The fun begins once you’ve educated yourself—grab a seat at their café. Make sure you pick a table overlooking Regocijo Square and relish something off their menu. The chocolate truffles are great but we would recommend the hot chocolate at Choco Museum to everyone. It’s velvety smooth and ticks all the boxes—perfect beverage for the evening.
