The top of Europe is incredibly beautiful and Jungfraujoch is proof of that fact. Standing like a rather graceful giant at 3454 m, Jungfraujoch is essentially a saddle between the Alpine peaks of Jungfrau and Monch. With staggering vistas of mighty mountains and the Altesch Glacier, the longest of its kind in the Alps and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this viewing station is one of the drawcards of Swiss tourism. The presence of an Ice Palace Gallery and a Snow Fun Park only adds to its popularity. While the expanse of snow is capable of blinding you and the winds icy enough to freeze your insides, the incredible panorama of the mountains and glaciers exudes this inexplicable warmth, one that can thaw even the coldest of hearts. One of the most photographed features of Jungfraujoch is its sphinx observatory with its silver astronomical dome, a very recognisable structure owing to its presence in several Bollywood and Hollywood films, including one of the James Bond movies.
