As per the latest news reports, the bridge will soon be open to the public. It will replace the original bridge, which is believed to have been built by Viking King Harald Bluetooth.
The said 700 m long road and bridge construction is expected to turn into an impressive live demonstration of Viking craftsmanship and infrastructure. And interestingly, almost all the 700 m stretch has been built by hand with Viking Age tools and techniques.
