‘Sana-di-ge’ in Tulu refers to the brass lamp lit on auspicious occasions in the coastal belt of Karnataka. The food at this restaurant - with a small air-conditioned dining space and a larger alfresco area - is from that part of the state. You will find a predominance of seafood on the menu, including Rawa Fry Kane (fish coated in semolina and fried crisp) Marvai Sukka (Clams) Live Crab, Jumbo Pomfret and Teekha Prawn Fry. The range of curries also focuses on fish and shellfish. There are some options for vegetarians, but they are likely to feel short-changed. A welcome change in an area with many multi-cuisine options. Some of the freshest seafood is to be had here.
