In the years since Chef Low opened its doors, the area in which it is located has slowly sprung to life, but this restaurant is still the star draw. The organic vegetarian food served here is nothing short of sterling. The quality of ingredients guarantees vivacious, crisp and clean flavours, while a ludicrously extensive menu encompassing Thai, Chinese, Italian, and Japanese covers pretty much every culinary proclivity. The signature pumpkin floss is crispy but gossamer light and coats vegetarian squid that’s intensely moreish, while a herbal mushroom dish boats voluptuous shitake mushrooms in a fragrant herbal broth. Chef Low gives ample reason to rejoice: healthy, vegetarian fare devoid of MSG, seasonings, preservatives, egg, garlic and onions and dishes that are a joy to the palate. Don’t miss the special feel-good tea that’s sure to add a spring to your step.
