Known for its Sunday special adai dosa, Mani’s Lunch Home is a small south Indian restaurant located near the Ruia College in Matunga. A popular joint amongst college students, the eatery is competitively-priced and serves generous portions of upma, sambhar and rice. The breakfast menu includes quintessential south Indian dishes such as idli, medu wada, potato wada, upma, sheera and pongal. By evening, the restaurant’s cooks also prepare vegetable bonda, dal wada, rasam wada, dahi wada, onion pakoda and Mysore bonda. Ask for as many bowls of sambhar and chutney as you want, and do try the filter coffee after you’ve finished your meal.
